MOTHERHOOD PAINTING SERIES

I started painting about birth in 1998 before my son was born contemplating becoming a parent with my beloved husband. We are both artist and teachers and decided that one child would be just enough. The paintings tell stories of a woman (me) her struggles, realizations, awakenings of entering the new world of  motherhood and parenting. Seeing the world in a different manner then before.
We received a grant in 2011 to support a Group Exhibition called 'SuperMom Unveiled' through the NCA council of arts, and made the front cover on Mother's Day for the Springfield Republican Paper,
